This is a very early attempt to provide the functionality of vxtwitter for Mastodon and Misskey links. It's very rough around the edges so expect bugs. Feel free to reach out to @yagokoro with any questions or bug reports.
The application is currently closed-source, but just until I can find a good place to host it that's separate from my IRL identity.
Right now, it only works for images and only up to four. This will change in the future.
Usage Examples
Embed an image from SizeCraft.social
https://fx.sizecraft.social/@<username>/<post Id>
Creates an embed using a Twitter Card for posts on SizeCraft.social regardless of whether or not the media is marked as sensitive or not. Any other Mastodon posts will need to use the next endpoint due to how the API works.
Note: this endpoint will only work for SizeCraft.social

Creates an embed using a Twitter Card for posts on any publicly federated post on Mastodon regardless of whether or not the media is marked as sensitive or not.

Creates an embed using a Twitter Card for posts on any publicly federated post on any Misskey instance regardless of whether the media is marked as sensitive or not. At the moment, only the first four images will embed due to limitations with ActivityPub.
